Our Emotional Guidance System

Eddie Conner  provided an inspiring meditation setting the tone for a great meeting on the Emotional Guidance System.  Anyone wishing to receive Eddie's free newsletter, sign up on Eddie's Website in the lower right hand corner.

Ramona played a track from the CD version of “Ask and it is Given” by Esther and Jerry Hicks. We also viewed a you tube video of Jerry Hicks explaining "Process 22 - Moving Up the Emotional Scale."

The group reviewed the scale of emotions as proposed by Abraham, from best to worst, as follows:

The group did some exercises as examples of how to move up the scale when we find ourselves in a place we’d rather not be.  The first example was at a funeral where we might feel despair. We can move up the scale by becoming angry, worrying about the family of the deceased, be disappointed that the person is no longer around, overwhelmed with all that needs to be done, pessimistic about our unknown future, boredom during the service, up to appreciating the life of the deceased.

Another example was someone who must move away from home. The first feeling is being overwhelmed with all that has to be done, irritated with having so much stuff, contentment with having less stuff after the move, feeling good that the excess stuff can be given to charity and appreciated by someone else, and positive expectations about the future.

A third example was doubt and worry about a job search, disappointed with the indecision of which job to apply for, making a decision to take the first job offered so that we are employed (which is a better position to be in when looking for the right job) to hopefulness and contentment that we will find the right job.

Shared Wisdom - Abraham Style

Ramona began the meeting by introducing Eddie Conner via Skype.

Eddie Conner (www.eddieconner.com) took the group through a wonderful guided meditation that set the stage for the meeting. His meditation focused on health and well being, the purpose of tonight’s meeting.

Tricia Gosling made a presentation on detoxification and quantum biofeedback. Detoxification is the key to good health, and parasites are the number one deterrent to proper balance.

Chris Reynolds presented correcting psychological reversals using a technique known as tapping, and on Dr. Morter’s B.E.S.T. method of re-balancing the left and right brain using muscle testing. CREATE A NEW STORY, with BARB VERCANDE

Ramona opened the meeting by welcoming guests and asking for updates from members who care to share.

Chris and Ramona updated the group on the Global Information Network conference we attended last weekend. The presenter was Dr. Ted Morter, developer of B.E.S.T. (Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique), an energy balancing procedure used to help embellish the full healing potential of the body by changing old patterns.  It re-establishes neuro-pathways and balances body/mind/memory/soul energy fields within the body. Once re-established, the balance may be maintained with 3-minute stretching exercises once or twice a day. Ramona has contacted a local BEST practitioner, Cheryl Wood, about making a presentation to our group.

Eddie Conner joined us via Skype and took the group through a guided meditation. His meditation helped the group get rid of past obstacles that impede us from living the life we want, and creating a new story that describes the life we do want.

Ramona introduced Barb Vercande who coaches people who are unable to break old habits and remain stuck living a life they don’t want. Her practice helps people create a new story so they can live the life they do want with passion.

Barb shared her process for creating a new story. We do many things out of habit or because someone else (usually a role model) did them that way. Most stories are generated when, as children, we are told something or shown a behavior that is false for our belief system. We end up tolerating behaviors instead of standing up for ourselves.

Barb’s process begins with writing down every decision we make and why we made it. Do this for a month. Then review the list for patterns and dig into what is behind the pattern. When a story runs through our minds, ask if it is our own voice or someone else’s. If it is someone else’s, stop because it probably is not true for us.

Now that we understand our old story, we are ready to start our new one. There are three components of the new story:
·         It must be based in truth.
·         It must be aligned with our purpose and passion.
·         It must motivate us to take joy-filled action.

There are three steps to creating a new story:
·    Write out the old story. Start with the most prominent point. This will clarify what we don’t want so we can be clear about what we do want. Be sure to include emotions as if we are telling the story to our best friend.
·    Read the story out loud to ourselves. Notice how we feel and where the feelings are coming from. Get all the bad feelings out. This is similar to detoxing our minds of past bad habits of thought.
·    Write a new story. Start with “The truth is…”  Describe how life will be if we continue to live our old story. Then describe our new story, what it looks like, feels like, and how it connects to our life purpose. Be sure the story brings out good emotional feelings and fills us with optimism. And make sure it is the story we want to be, not what we think someone else wants us to be.

We know we have the right story when:
·         The story takes us where we want to go.
·         It is in alignment with our life purpose.
·         It is grounded in truth.
·         We are inspired to take action.

In summary, visualize life living the new story we have created and make sure we feel satisfied emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually.

Mastermind Session with Skype Guest Cynthia Richmond

Ramona opened the meeting with the Golden Cone of Light Meditation.
 
Our Skype guest was Cynthia Richmond, renowned Journalist, Author, Educator, speaker, and Board Certified Behavioral Therapist. Her website is DreamPower.Net and is listed under “Other Sites with Valuable Information” on this blog.  Cynthia has written two books, Dream Power and The Dream Power Journal, both available on Amazon.com.

Cynthia Richmond specializes in dream interpretation. She teaches people how to remember their dreams and how to make their dreams work for them. For example, to remember dreams, tell yourself before going to sleep that you want to remember your dreams. When you awake, journal your dreams. 

To make your dreams work for you, ask yourself what’s in your highest and best interest. Then ask your dreams to help you fix the problem, or what the best treatment is for this ailment. You can imagine what you want before going to sleep, and get the answer in your dreams.

When you are having a troublesome dream, remind yourself that you are dreaming. Ask what it means and what it’s trying to tell you. Your subconscious mind knows the status of every cell in our bodies and can answer your question.

Several subjects were covered during the mastermind. Channels – what they are, what they do, and experiences some of us have had with them.  Emotions – how to let them pass through us and not dwell within, especially negative emotions.  Focus on what we want which will replace negative thoughts and emotions.  Meditation – let the Universe take care of the problem.  How sensitive people deal with the less fortunate like homeless or mentally disturbed individuals. Suggestion was made to Google Abraham-Hicks Mental Illness for answers to how to deal with people with mental conditions.  Witness consciousness – witness the good and the bad, but do not connect to either. Be an observer. Not attached or detached, just not connected to it.

Tools of Deliberate Creation with Special Skype Guest Kute Blackson

Ramona opened the meet up with updates on members and family, followed by a video meditation from Kute Blackson entitled The Miracle is You

Our Skype guest was Kute Blackson. Source already exists within us in our consciousness. When we connect to our true self and open ourselves up to who we are, not who we think we are, something magical happens. We have awareness with all that exists and life flows through us in the totality that is the miracle of life. Action taken from that place carries with it the Universal power. This creates a synergy where 2+2 equals more than 4, up to infinity. The “something” that brought us into existence created life and therefore has the power to do anything. Getting into alignment with that Universal power is simple – sit, breathe, be still, listen, and you will know who you are.   Once connected we no longer need to manifest because there is no separation from Source.

The topic for the evening was Deliberate Creation. Mike reviewed a few of the basic tools available to deliberately create. Mike and Ramona performed a two-part skit about wanting to return to a spa they attended several years ago. The first part portrayed how they would have looked at the possibility Before Law of Attraction (BLOA). The second skit showed how they would manifest the experience by Vibrating, Appreciating and Positively Believing they will get it After Law of Attraction (ALOA). The audience gave them a standing ovation. (Not really, but it made us feel good just to say it.)

We viewed the video Find Any Reason to Feel Good.  The message is step back and ask “How am I feeling right now?” Abraham explains that we can do something about what we CAN do something about right now, even if it’s just a thought that makes us feel better. What matters is finding a reason to feel good right now.

We discussed some of the comments made in the video. The primary point is we can think of something good or something bad. Choose the good thoughts.

Getting Unstuck - Back Into the Vortex

We listened to a recording from Eddie Conner eddieconner.com.  Eddie took the group through a wonderful guided meditation that cleansed our chakras and set the stage for the meeting.
Our Skype guest was Kala Ambrose. ExploreYourSpirit.com Kala is an author, intuitive, wisdom teacher, radio show hostess and recently debuted Explore Your Spirit TV. Her presentation centered around the Ancient Wisdom of Egypt and Greece, Auras, and Chakras and Energy Fields.  She specifically spoke about the Egyptian Mystery Temple: As it is expressed from above, it is received so below. So it is written, so shall it be.
Kala’s book 9 Life Altering Lessons: Secrets of the Mystery Schools Unveiled delves into teachings from the ancient temples of Egypt and Greece and is available through her website.  We've placed a link to her website on the right side of this blog for your convenience. The topic for discussion was “Getting Past Stuckness” which is the first step to getting into the Vortex. We watched two videos:
There was lively discussion about being stuck out of the Vortex and how to get back in. When we feel we are stuck it's because we continue to think the same negative thoughts. If we keep thinking negative thoughts, we cannot be in the Vortex. By thinking the same thoughts over and over, those thoughts become our beliefs. Once a negative thought becomes a belief, it is harder to break the habit of thought and reenter the Vortex. 
If we want to get back into the Vortex, we must think different, positive thoughts. And that simply requires finding unfamiliar ways of approaching familiar subjects.

The Basics of the Law of Attraction

Ramona opened the Meet Up with a Meditation from Deepak Chopra - Meditation.

Our Skype guest was Jane Hogan, a lady we have known for ten years, and one of the best co-creators we know. She spoke of some of her experiences manifesting and what she does to get what she wants.

Over the next few meetings we will discuss the basics of the LOA. This meeting started with an exercise to determine what we want.

We read a quote from Abraham. Relationships I Don't Want, Clarify Those I Do Want... Whenever you know what you do not want, you always know more clearly what you do want. So in a disturbing moment of awareness of another person's undesirable situation, give your undivided attention to the idea of improvement that has hatched from your interaction /observation. And as you learn to do that, not only will you be of increasing value to others, but you will see how your relationships with others adds immeasurably to your own becoming.                     --- Abraham

It is generally not a good idea to think about the things we do not want because thinking about things does what?  It attracts them. Sometimes, however, it is helpful to realize what you do not want in order to eliminate them from our lives. Just don’t dwell on them. With this in mind, we did an exercise listing the top-of-mind things we wish we DID NOT HAVE in our lives. These can be people, places and things we would like to eliminate or change.  Include events from our past that haunt us today. They can be things said or done by our relatives, friends, teachers, coworkers, whatever worries we have – whoever and whatever haunts us today.

Visualizing the memory that haunts you the most – the teacher, relative, ex-friend, lover, coworker – do the following visualization.

Picture a large basket with a handle. Place the haunting memory into the basket and say the following: “You have haunted me for years….. I have learned the lesson you came to teach….. You are no longer of service to me…..You need to leave me now.”  Visualize a bunch of helium filled balloons that you tie to the basket. Say goodbye to the basket and the memory as you release it from your grasp. Watch it rise up into the sky, gently pushed by the breeze, disappearing forever. Feel the lightness that freedom from this unwanted memory brings. Now slowly come out of the visualization.

If it reappears to haunt you, just do this visualization again until it is gone. Later you can do this visualization for the other unwanted memories on your list.

Now let’s build the life we want. On a piece of paper list the things you DO want in your life. Save that list and add to it when you think of something else.

Next we identified the elements of the Laws of Attraction which we will cover in the next few meetings.

           The First Law of Attraction - Like Attracts Like:

·         Identify what you want. Be specific. Remember to be careful what you wish for – it may come true. Make a list and keep it with you.

       Feel the joy. Create an “I Am” list. When feeling contradicted, think of whatever makes you smile without conflicted feelings.

·         Focus on what you want. Picture the end result with as much detail as possible. Ground yourself.

  Set your vibration and keep it high. Align yourself with and be in the vortex. Stay positive about all areas of your life and send out only positive energy to attract the life you desire and deserve.  

The Second Law - The Law of Deliberate Creation:

·         Ramp up your desire and believe you will get it. Think of the reasons you should have it. Get excited about it. Feel it – hear it – use all the senses.

·         Positively believe you will get it. Absolutely believe it will happen. Make up a story about having it and tell your story repeatedly. Attach passion to it. Know that you deserve it.

·         Appreciate it when you see it – even if it belongs to someone else. The Universe responds favorably to unselfish approval.

The Third Law - The Law of Allowing:

·         Let your intuition guide you. Take actions that feel right to you as you focus on your desires.

·         Allow the Universe to provide your desires in the manner and form it deems appropriate. Do not preconceive the how and when of your manifestation. Allow the essence of what you want and let the Universe determine the manner and time that is best for you.

Members asked what they can do when they felt “Stuck” in a void. The following excerpt is from “Ask and it is Given”, by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

Life is Always in Motion, So you Cannot be “ Stuck”

Sometimes our physical friends will say, “I’m stuck! I’ve been in this place for a very long time, and I can’t get out of it.  I’m stuck?” And we always explain that it is not possible to stand still or be stuck, because Energy, and therefore life, is always in motion.  Things are always changing.

But the reason it may feel to you as if you are stuck is because, while you are continuing to think the same thoughts, things are changing-but they are changing to the same thing over and over. If you want things to change to different things, you must think different thoughts.  And that simply requires finding unfamiliar ways of approaching familiar subjects.
