RISING ABOVE IT - WHO ME?

Ramona opened the meeting by welcoming guests and asking for updates.

Eddie Conner provided us with an inspiring meditation to recharge our souls and open our minds to ways we can rise above it all.

The opening video was The Fun of Ignoring Reality by Abraham-Hicks which explains the vortex of creation. We are vibrational beings first.

Ramona shared an experience she had recently and how she rose above it. She received some disturbing news and while processing that, her mother-in-law, with whom she was close, passed away. This activated the fear even more. She created an acronym for FEAR; Forget Evidence and Relax. Remember what we know – that we are connected to Source; that our thoughts are powerful and can change any situation to good in spite of what others try to tell us.

Remember, if your mind is filled with fear, there’s no room for dreams. So, if you fill your mind with dreams, and there won’t be room for fear.  Ramona also decided to be more joyful and filled with laughter regarding her fears. That is how she rises above it. And isn’t that the purpose of life? To be happy.

Other acronyms for FEAR are “Face Everything and Rise” and “Forget Everything and Relax”.

Ramona asked “What are some things we need to rise above?” Responses include bad past experiences, difficult people, and family history. The best way to erase these memories and rise above them is to “create a new story.” A simple example is someone is driving recklessly and cutting off other cars to get ahead, create a story that relates how they must be having an emergency and need to get to the hospital fast to save a life.

Why do people stay stuck in the negative? Many don’t realize they are in a fear-based negative place. What do we do when someone insists on telling their negative stories? A great technique is to simply say “cancel cancel”. That will cancel the effects of the negativity you do not want to hear. Another technique is tapping which neutralizes the negative programming and shifts our energy to the positive. For a good video on the tapping technique, check out this site.

Here are some things people do to raise their vibration.

Stop resisting problems. Embrace them and other doors will open.

When working with difficult people, have a higher self conversation with them.

In order to create the happy feeling of having more money, a member hides some bills in the bottom of her purse. Later, when she discovers the money, she gets the feeling she has found some unexpected money. That helps create good feelings that raise her vibration.

Abraham talks about telling another story. Instead of retelling the negative feeling story, tell it in a positive way, reliving it in the positive and therefore creating new vibrations about the story.
Create a whole new story, also referred to as editing your life. Think of it as editing a movie. Make a commitment to remove the parts that no longer serve you. Then ask yourself what has brought you profound bliss and consider how you can make those experiences and beliefs part of your life now. With a little editing, you’ll clear out what is no longer serving you and make room for more happiness, love and wisdom in your life.

Give everyone the benefit of the doubt – starting with yourself.

Ramona handed out bottles of bubbles for members to use when they need to rise above something and feel the lightness of bubbles rising above it all.

Try the ancient Hawaiian practice of Ho’oponopono  It consists of four steps – I’m sorry, forgive me, thank you and I love you. It is very cleansing.

Ramona recited a Buddhist prayer of forgiveness.
If I have harmed anyone in any way, either knowingly or unknowingly through my own confusions, I ask their forgiveness.
If anyone has harmed me in any way either knowingly or unknowingly through their own confusions, I forgive them.
And if there is a situation I am not yet ready to forgive, I forgive myself for that.
For all the ways that I harm myself, negate, belittle myself, judge or be unkind to myself through my own confusions, I forgive myself.

Our next meeting will be August 26, 2013.

The closing video was Life Vest.

Inner Conflict - Who Me?

Ramona welcomed everyone and asked new attendees to give a brief introduction of themselves. Eddie Conner led us through a meditation directed at helping us identify and get rid of our Inner Conflicts. If you want an audio file of Eddie's meditation, email us and we will send it to you.

We showed an Abraham video (it starts with a commercial – sorry!) Thinking, As Choosing Your Thoughts followed by a discussion of where inner conflict comes from. Some examples are the media, ego, family history, and self doubt. When we feel negative emotion we are out of the vortex. The vortex is a feeling of joy, relief, fun as opposed to the dark heavy feelings we get when things “go wrong”. It’s where we want to be as much of the time as possible. To get back into the vortex, do or think whatever makes you feel good to bring you back into vibrational alignment.

Ramona provided an example of getting out of the vortex and how she  was able to get back in. When she heard Mike's cancer was back, she went into a tailspin. Remembering he was undefeated (in his one boxing match in college), she downloaded the theme from Rocky and pictures Mike knocking out the tumor as he did the first time. This whimsical exercise allows her to get back into the vortex with positive thoughts.

Another member likes to listen to and sing along with older country music songs that have humorous lyrics as she drives her car. It lightens her vibration and sets the tone for the day.

We showed Dr. Emoto's Video on the effects of thought on water, from "What The Bleep".  If thoughts can do that to distilled water, imagine the effect our thoughts have on us.

Several members have read books they recommend on how to overcome inner conflicts and get yourself back into the vortex:
  • Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton
  • Feelings Buried Alive Never Die by Karol K. Truman
  • Activate Joy by Alix Sandra Parness DD
  • A Happy Pocket Full of Money by David Cameron Gikandi
  • Super Brain by Deepak Chopra
A good formula for getting back into the vortex is:
  • First - let it go, whatever "it" is.
  • Remember, if there is something you desire and it is not coming to you, it means you are not a vibrational match to your own desire.
  • Get yourself into a good feeling place.
  • Remember to go general - start small - appreciate the little things and then grow into the bigger items until you become a match with your desires.
  • Don't worry about the details. Don't limit your thoughts. Daydream your desires without the "how".
  • Then ask for what you want as in "I desire this or something better for the greatest good all all concerned."
What about repetitive negative thought?  First - stop the thought. Find something you love to think about instead. When you find the best thing to think about, lock it into your brain. Learn how to identify the negative thought quickly by feeling it in your gut. Train your brain to switch so that every time the negative thought comes up you automatically switch to the positive thought.

Someone asked if men are wired differently because it seems they can drop the negative thoughts more easily than women. Most agreed men have an easier time with this.

Tapping was suggested as a tool for relaxing and stress-free living. Nick Ortner's The Tapping Solution and Gary Craig's Emotional Freedom Techniques were recommended.

Another process is journalling. One member finds when she journals it becomes free writing and she either gets to what is bothering her or it takes her mind off the issue.

A member finds it stressful when she is unable to make a decision. She found it helpful to label herself "Not Knowing and Loving It". It removes the stress of having to make a decision which frees her mind to think more clearly.

When faced with a situation that historically has been a negative experience, like a family gathering, try this. Family usually has history - and it isn't always pleasant. You know what to expect. Instead of expecting the clashes and digs, try going in as if you had never met each person before.  Give them the benefit of the doubt.

Be grateful for what you have, and have a vicarious sense of joy for the successes of others. For example, if you are looking for that perfect relationship, do not grouse that you do not have one, and do not be jealous of those you see who do. Instead, when you see a couple with that perfect relationship, be happy for them and say to yourself "That's got my name all over it!".

Reframing was discussed. Reframing is taking something that isn't perfect for your situation (like a picture in a frame) and placing a new frame on it. A new frame will accentuate different things in the picture. Reframing can also allow you to change what's in the picture and make it the way you want it. Some examples of reframing are telling a new story, and tapping.

Ramona read the following, and the group repeated:
Universe, thank you for reminding me that I am good and worthy.
Universe, thank you for reminding me to not take things so seriously.
Universe, thank you for reminding me that I am moving in the direction that is best for me each day.
Universe, thank you for reminding me that the past is gone and the future is filled with unlimited possibilities.
Universe, thank you for the multitude of non-physical beings lined up to assist me every step of every day.
Universe, thank you for reminding me that this is going to be the most amazing year of my life.
And so it is!

In the words of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, "If you shield the mountain from the windstorms, you'll never see the beauty of the carvings."

The closing video was Abraham's Life is Good.

Our next meeting will be July 15. See you then.

Love - Who Me?

Sivan Garr Presents –  I Love You set the stage for one of the best interactions ever. Eddie Conner  provided a wonderful guided meditation.

The topic was Love – Who Me? and opened with a video by Abraham-Hicks entitled Tune into Love.  The message was that Source loves us no matter what. We just need to align our vibration with Source and allow the good things to happen.

What thoughts enter the mind when we hear the word “love”?  Some people immediately think of experiences and words that feel positive. Others who had negative love experiences have corresponding bad feelings. But all feelings of love emanate from within. You need to love yourself first before allowing love of others.

If we experienced love from our parents, we had good role models and were able to learn the basics. This gives us a leg up on allowing love into our lives. If we did not learn from parents when we were young, we need to teach ourselves from scratch. But in the end, it really doesn’t matter how we were raised or if we learned anything from our parents. To learn to love ourselves and others, we must teach ourselves how to do it.  We do this through our own life experiences.

A friend of ours asks the Universe for proof that she is loved. It is really a cute and successful process. She sets her intention before leaving home to have the Universe show her how she is loved.  She greets people with a smile and a heartfelt greeting like “Good Morning”.  Most people react well and smile back with their greetings. She is nice to the clerks and salespeople she encounters, acknowledges them in a positive manner and with a smile, and in turn they are nice to her. She envisions them at the dinner table at home telling their families “I met the nicest customer today”.  This provides proof to her that others out there, even strangers, can make her feel loved.

Another friend plays what she calls “The Alphabet Game”.  On her way to work she finds a positive adjective beginning with the letter “A” to describes herself.  Then on to “B” and “C”, etc.  She arrives at work high on herself by setting the tone for loving herself first, and the world follows her frequency.

When she knows she will be meeting with one of her difficult clients, a tax accountant thinks nice thoughts and as many positive aspects of that client as possible.  This exercise changes the vibration so when the client enters the room, the atmosphere is positive and the clients stay nice and calm.

How do we deal with people who are hard to love?  We need to love them anyway.  When people are harsh on us, it has no reflection on us; it is a reflection on them.  Forgive them, and don’t take it personally.  Send them love because they need it more than we do. Also remember if someone pushes our buttons, we get what we ask for. We need to forgive ourselves and look for the lesson they are trying to teach us.  Remember the best way to get love is to give it first.  And don’t give up.  Keep showing the person love and they will come around.

Think about this.  Humans are the only beings that hold on to bad vibrations. We need to learn to shake them off and free our minds to exist in peace. There is a really good book on the subject called Why Don’t Zebras Get Ulcers by Robert M. Sapolsky available on Amazon.com.

There are several techniques to get rid of thoughts that haunt us. One is to visualize a basket with helium filled balloons tied to it. Place the haunting thoughts into the basket and release it to the Universe. Let the Universe deal with them.

Another technique is particularly helpful in situations where a person has done something “unforgivable” to us, and it keeps haunting us.   It can be a friendship betrayed, a former lover, a coworker, or neighbor.  This techniques works for all situations.  Have a higher self conversation with that person’s higher self.

Here’s an example.  “Mark, this is my higher self having a conversation with your higher self.  We were friends at one time, and I miss that friendship.  For some reason unknown to me, you betrayed that friendship. If that happened because of something I did, I am truly sorry. I did not mean to harm you in any way. But what you did to me has altered our friendship forever because I can no longer trust you. And I feel your negative energy continually being sent from your higher self to me.  Please stop sending negative energy, and start sending positive thoughts because from now on whatever thoughts you send my way I am returning to you. If you send negative, you will get your negativity right back. So please send positive energy so I can return that to you in a healing manner”.

Remember this (paraphrased) message from Louise HayThe past is done. Replaying what happened yesterday takes away the precious moments of today.

All of these techniques have a common theme:
·         Forgive yourself
·         Forgive the other person
·         Free your mind
·         Free your spirit

When we truly love ourselves we will be preparing ourselves to accept other love.  So, love the you that you are.

There is a beautiful poem by Hafiz, a 14th-century Persian mystic and poet.

“Even after all this time, the Sun never says to the Earth “You owe me”.
Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky.”
So, let us affirm to ourselves right now by reciting the following:

I love and respect myself exactly as I am
I deserve and accept it now
I attract only loving, healthy relationships into my life
All my relationships are healthy, healed and whole
And now I experience an abundance of love within my life.

The closing video was Abraham – The Feeling of Alignment

Assignment:  Write a love letter to yourself and look at it every day.

Our next meeting will be June 17, 2013 and the subject will be “Inner Conflict – Who Me?

December Meeting and Pot Luck

Ramona opened the meeting by introducing Eddie Conner via Skype. Eddie provided a guided meditation helping us open our hearts and minds to appreciate what we have and what we want so that we can make 2013 our best year ever.

Chris Reynolds handed out a chart that he and Cheryl Wood have developed. It is a system designed to discover the blockages people might have that keep them from achieving what they want out of life.

The group viewed an Abraham video entitled “Is 2012 thetime of Awakening?”, followed by a mastermind Q and A.

Ramona asked members to share what they were going to do different to make 2013 their best year ever. The general theme was to appreciate what we have more.

At the close, Ramona led the group in a “repeat after me” meditation which follows:

How are you feeling right now?  Great?  Then let’s ask the Universe for more of this for the coming year. Repeat the following:

Universe, bring me more of this please, in surprising ways I can’t even wrap my head around. Bring it to me in ways that make me laugh so hard my stomach and face hurt; in ways that activate my soul esteem; in ways that activate my soul confidence.  Put me at the right place at the right time with the right people, places and situations that give me back 190% of love. All this just for the Joy of it!!!

What this meditation did was send up rockets of desire as a collective consciousness. It’s going to be a GREAT 2013!

A scroll was given to each participant with Abraham’s “Just Say Yes” on it.  Here it is.

When you say “YES” to something, you include something you do want into your experience. When you say “NO” to something, you include something you do not want into your experience.  Just say “YES”.

Say “Yes!” to abundance.
Say “Yes!” to well-being.
Say “Yes!” to joy.
Say “Yes!” to love.
Say “Yes!” to happiness.
Say “Yes!” to inspiration.
Say “Yes!” to solutions.
Say “Yes!” to relief.
Say “Yes!” to answers.
Say “Yes!” to miracles.
Say “Yes!” to magic.
Say “Yes!” to allowing.
Say “Yes!” to the flow.
Say “Yes!” to it is done.
Say “Yes!” to believing.
Say “Yes!” to the now.
Say “Yes!” to wonderment.
Say “Yes!” to adventure.
Say “Yes!” to the unfolding.
Say “Yes!” to the journey.
Say “Yes!” to life.

We wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a fabulous New Year.  2013 will be our BEST YEAR EVER.  See you in the spring.
