The Vortex

The vortex – what is it, how do we know when we are in the vortex, how do we stay in it. Andrew DiPalma visited with us through Skype. Andrew provided examples of how he lives the principles of Abraham to stay in the vortex. He realizes that he learns something from everyone he knows. When he meets someone he asks himself what lesson he can learn from that person.

The group defined the vortex in a number of ways. It is being happy. It is acceptance of where we are. It has our greatest good in mind, so we should let go of resistance, manifest where we want to be, accept where we are, and know it will come, just not always the way we expect. Simply put, we know we are in the vortex when we are happy and appreciate what we have.

Abraham explains the vortex this way. We don't need money to get in the vortex. Getting in the vortex is a conversational thing. We don't have to pay to get in the vortex. It doesn't cost anything to be hopeful. It doesn't cost anything to tell a positive story. It doesn't cost anything to dream the dream or tell the story. If we tell the story often enough we will come to believe it. And when we believe the story, we are in the vortex and the Universe has to give it to us.

We discussed strategies for getting back into the vortex. Doing something we love, like a hobby, can help. When it is our fault that we are out of the vortex we should accept responsibility for our actions and then let it go. Remember all experiences make us who we are; so we should think about whom we want to be, how we want to be remembered, and act accordingly as we return to the vortex. . If needed, seek comfort from a close personal friend. When dealing with loss, move yourself quickly through the stages of grief.

We listened to a segment from Ester Hicks on You Tube. We closed with an exercise of writing how we feel when in the vortex. We wrote our dreams and manifestations as if we already had everything we desired. It turned out to be a great exercise to put us in the vortex.

Abraham's Recipe for Joy:
Seek joy first and foremost
Seek reasons to laugh
Seek reasons to offer words of praise to self and others
Seek beauty in nature, beasts and other humans
Seek reasons to love in every segment of every day
Look for something that brings forth within you a feeling of love
Seek that which uplifts you
Seek opportunity to offer that which uplifts another
Know that your value can only be measured in terms of joy
And, acknowledge your absolute freedom to do any of these things or not do any of these things, for it is without exception your choice in every moment of every day.

The Near Perfect Game -- An Abraham Lesson

In the 130 year history of baseball there have been only 20 perfect games where the pitcher controls the game so that no opposing batter reaches base. And two of those occurred in May this year.
Then on June 2nd the sports world was shaken when the 27th batter - the last batter in an otherwise perfect game - was erroneously called "safe" at first base.
Many sports personalities would have yelled and screamed at the ump for a close call, regardless of the sport. Sometimes benches are emptied in a brawl, elbows are thrown in basketball, sticks trip players in hockey. Rodney Dangerfield summed up the lack of professionalism in sports when he quipped "I went to the fights and a hockey game broke out."
In this case the pitcher, 28 year old Armando Galarraga, knew that the runner should have been called out. He knew the bad call ruined his chance to be the 21st pitcher to join that elite group in the sports history books. He did not react. He did not say a word. He just smiled and went back to the mound and pitched to batter 28.
Later that day, Jim Joyce, a 23 year veteran umpire, viewed a tape of the play and realized he made a bad call. In his apology to Galarraga and the Detroit Tigers he said "I just cost that kid a perfect game. I thought the runner beat the throw. I was convinced he beat the throw, until I saw the replay. If I had been Galarraga, I would've been the first person in my face, and he never said a word to me." Galarraga accepted his apology with style and professionalism.
The next day, the two men met on the field before the game. They shook hands and Joyce apologized in person with tears in his eyes. It's men like these who put the "Professional" back into "Professional Sports".
Galarraga realizes baseball is a game he plays for enjoyment. What a wonderful example his demeanor and professionalism have provided. Kudos to his parents for developing such character traits in their son. His actions attracted fame and notoriety. He will probably be remembered longer that the two players who pitched perfect games the month before.
Sports are just games to be played and enjoyed - like life itself. So remember, the purpose of life is to be happy. Treat life as if it were a game. Don't take it so seriously. Have fun. Become famous in your own right.

The Art of Allowing - What's Stopping Us

Our meeting concentrated on the art of allowing – what it is, how to achieve it, and how to identify what’s keeping us from getting it. Here are some quotes and comments that were covered in our meeting. Allow yourself to resonate with some of them.
Allowing is basically the absence of resistance.
Abraham quote -- You can get to where you want to be from wherever you are – but you must stop spending so much time noticing and talking about what you don’t like about where you are. Make lists of the positive things you are living. Look forward to where you want to be and spend no time complaining about where you are. The responsive Universe makes no distinction between the thoughts you think about your current reality and the thoughts you think as your DREAM of improved life. You are creating by virtue of what you are thinking about, and so there is no advantage whatsoever to ponder, or remember, or observe, or speak of things you do not want. Make your active vibration about what you DO want and notice how quickly your life changes to match your vibration.
Ask yourself “Are you concentrating on what you want, or on what’s keeping you from getting what you want?”
When we withdraw our attention from those things that are not pleasing, and put our attention upon those things that are pleasing, those pleasing things begin to become more abundant, and those not-pleasing things become more rare. Until, eventually, those not-pleasing things cannot be part of our experience because we will have eliminated our attraction factor from our vibration. What we think and what we get always matches.
Be alright with where you are now, make peace with where you are.
The article “The Near-Perfect Game” (see previous blog entry) was read.
With the help of two volunteers, we did an exercise where the volunteers went on a rampage of desire listing what they want. The group then discussed the negatives that were interspersed with the desires and suggested ways to improve asking for what we want. Eddie Conner’s A-N-D Avalanching technique was pointed out as an excellent tool for raising our frequency and stating what we want in a positive manner.
We watched an Abraham video on the rampage of allowing. Rampage Video.
The benefits of deep breathing exercises were discussed. It expands the lungs and makes them healthier. Deep breathing takes the mind off whatever is stressing the person at the time. With a lot of practice, the body will learn to start taking deep breaths automatically when it senses stress.
Abraham quote - There is a Life Stream that flows to you, and this is a Stream of clarity, a Stream of wellness, a Stream of abundance. And in any moment you are allowing it or not. What someone else does with the Stream does not have anything to do with how much of it will be left for you. This Stream is as abundant as your ideas allow it to be.
When we see someone else has something we want, be sure to appreciate what they have and be desirous of a similar result. Be sure to appreciate what they have and not be envious.
The group did an exercise, with hands on our solar plexus, listing areas of life that are pleasant and then described the feeling in our solar plexus. We repeated the exercise with areas that we did not like or appreciate, and then described the feeling in our solar plexus. The solar plexus, or gut feeling, can be a guide to what we should or should not allow in our lives.
Abraham – The basis of life is freedom; the purpose of life is joy. The underlying philosophy of Abraham is that we are here in the world to feel good.
The meeting closed with the following two-part meditation from Ester and Jerry’s book “The Vortex”:
“The Art of Allowing is what you want most to understand, because in deliberately applying it you “allow” yourself to be all that you have become. And everything less than the allowing of you to be you feels less good. In other words, every contrasting experience causes an expansion of who-you-are because the larger Non-Physical part of you always moves to that point of farthest expansion. But if you continue to look back to the events or circumstances or reasons that caused the expansion, you then hold yourself in opposition to the very expansion. You disallow it – and then you feel bad. The Art of Allowing is simply your allowing yourself, by virtue of your deliberately chosen thoughts, to keep up with the expansion of yourself.”
And, “When you master the Art of Allowing your consistent alignment with the Source within you – every other relationship will be beneficial and pleasurable.”

Pot Luck December 6, 2009

On December 6, 2009 the Abraham Aah Ha Group held a pot luck to celebrate the holidays.  During the evening some of Abraham's favorite quotes were discussed in a game format.  Here are those quotes for all to ponder.
Some things you're not letting happen right now because the timing isn't perfect for you. Some you're not letting happen because you are very aware of where you are. But all things, as they are happening, are happening in perfect order!
The amount of time it takes you to get from where you are to where you want to be, is only the amount of time it takes you to change your vibration.
Find a happy thought and fixate on it and everything else should take care of itself.
There is nothing more important than feeling good.
Emotion is your indicator of what you are already creating.  As you think, you vibrate.
I'm in the vortex, and I'm not coming out!
Understanding the Law of Attraction, and more importantly, understanding the way you feel, will give you creative abilities beyond your wildest dreams.
If you can make peace with not being in the vortex, then you’ll get right back in it!
I don't have to please everyone else. Just let me please me.
The very best approach to medicine is: "Well, I see your physical body is sick, what's been bothering you? What are you worried about? What are you angry about? What are you frustrated about?" Because that is what is at the root of all of this. And then say, let it go, let it go, let it go!
The thoughts that you think, regarding those things that you want, set into motion the creation, and eventual fulfillment, of that which you want. And likewise, the thoughts that you think, regarding those things that you do not want, set into motion the creation, and eventual fulfillment, of that which you do nor want.
Your emotions are not from your physical world. They come forth from the inner world and are directly communicated to you from your inner being.
A belief is nothing more than a thought that you have thought before, that you continue to think.
Your thoughts are powerful creators, and your words are even more powerful than your thoughts, but your actions are more powerful than your words or your thoughts.
Where you now stand is a result of thoughts and feelings that you have offered before, but where you are going is a result of your perspective of where you now stand.
To stand in your now, looking forward with deliberate intent and anticipation of what is to come, is infinitely more satisfying than to stand in your now, looking back, retracing your steps as to how you got to where you are.
Everything you desire is downstream.
Which thought feels better?
Get tuned in, tapped in, and turned on!
The Universe knows all things and is responding to the vibration that you are sending. When you are sending your vibration on purpose, you are orchestrating what the Universe is aligning for you.
Hope to see you all in early May when we return.  Mike and Ramona.

Going Beyond Your Self-Imposed Limits-- Part Two

This meeting concentrated on teachings from three “Gurus of Manifesting” – Eddie Conner, Abraham-Hicks, and Gay Hendricks.  First Eddie Conner will set the stage.  If you do nothing else today, spend two minutes viewing Eddie’s podcast and you will see the basics of manifesting in action.
On the right side of this page, under “Aah-Ha Gems”, click on “Eddie Conner”.  In the lower right-hand corner of his web page, click on “Enjoy Eddie’s Podcasts”.  Scroll down to the third podcast “SOUL-ution Oriented Soul” and play this 2 minute podcast.  Eddie shows in this podcast just how easy it can be to visualize what we want, and get it.
One of our members, Barb Vercande of Ripple Affect Coaching, does presentations on the topic of relationships.  Barb affirmed Eddie’s suggestion by stating that before every presentation she visualizes the classroom filling up, visualizes herself teaching the class, visualizes her audience laughing and showing other good emotions.  Then she runs through her presentation and accepts whatever happens which is inevitably good.
Next we draw from Abraham-Hicks and review three laws -- the Laws of Attraction, Deliberate Creation and Allowing.  The Law of Attraction – That which is like unto itself is drawn.  We attract through thought.  Emotion speeds up the process, but thought is what launches it.  It doesn’t matter whether we think of wanting something or of not wanting it.  The something we are thinking about is drawn to us.  Getting up on the wrong side of the bed demonstrates the Law of Attraction.  When we start out the day in negative space, we keep on attracting more of the same.  When we feel fat we cannot attract thin.  When we feel poor we cannot attract prosperity.  So, maintain a positive mindset.
The second law, the Law of Deliberate Creation, means that we alone are the creators of our experience. If we set our thoughts to what we want, and picture ourselves having it, we will be filled with positive emotions that will help us attract what we want.  If we do not choose our thoughts, we will be creating our realities BY DEFAULT because whatever we focus on is invited in, and the more emotion we have about the thought, be it positive or negative, the faster the invitation will be answered.  For example, if we picture ourselves as rich and joyful, we are attracting rich and joyful to us.  If we are picturing rich people and feeling unhappy because we are not one of them, we are attracting unhappiness and lack of prosperity to ourselves.
A second part to the Law of Deliberate Creation is expectation.  Once we have launched a creation, we must look forward to it not with hope, but with perfect confidence that it will happen.  By example, when we leave to go to the market, we do not wonder if the building is still there.  We are confident it is there.  We do not give any thought to it not being there.  Our creations are no different.  But if we doubt our creation, we have launched a creation by default.  And whether or not we choose our thought, the thought still attracts our experience.
The third law, The Law of Allowing is “I am that which I am and you are that which you are, and I rejoice in our differences.”  If we thoroughly understand that no one else can create in our experience, then we can and should allow others to be what they are.  “Allowing” means rejoicing in the diversity.  It does not mean “tolerating.”  When we tolerate someone, we leave them alone to do what they want, but we feel negative emotion about it.
Our third Guru, Gay Hendricks defines conscious manifestation as bringing our heart’s desires into reality, while becoming an open invitation to others to create their heart’s desires.  That’s living!
In the first stage we “Create Our Lives by Design Instead of Default.”  It is the art of drawing what we really want and need to us, while creating a field around us in which others can get what they really want and need.  We begin by making a list of five life goals that will ultimately define your life.  Update it yearly.  Imagine yourself at the end of your life and ask: “Did I accomplish my life goals and did that make my life a total success?”  If you can answer “Yes”, you have your list of life goals.
When we get clear on our goals, we enjoy clarity about our direction.  We can focus on spotting the patterns of unconscious manifestation that are driving the self-destructive forces in our lives and eliminate them.
In the second stage we develop “The art of loving things as they are.”  This step is crucial because only love is big enough to embrace the mistakes of the past and the bumps along the way to manifesting all our heart’s desires.
Even the most troublesome patterns change when we love and accept them just the way they are.  So, when we notice something we want to change, first we must love and accept it just as it is.  Think about what we find most unlovable about ourselves.  Is it our bodies?  Our moods?  Our past behaviors?   Whatever it is, love is big enough to embrace it.  So, first we must love ourselves for not being able to love ourselves all the time.  Then, love as much as we can at the time.  Patience is helpful because nobody is perfect at loving – we’re all amateurs and we’re all in it together.
The third stage is “Moving easefully through your life, surfing on waves of miracles.”  It begins after we’ve become skilled at focusing positively on our goals (stage one) and loving ourselves as we proceed toward them (stage two).  The best way is to cultivate an environment of “wonder.”  Get in the habit of asking “wonder” questions.
Under stress, we tend to cling to fixed positions and look for somebody to blame.  We think we know whose fault it is and what THEY ought to do to fix the problem.  Instead, ask a wonder question.  If struggling with a weight issue, ask “I wonder what my weight struggle is really about?” versus a non wonder question like “Does Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers have the best program?”  If experiencing a money struggle, ask yourself “I wonder what I need to learn from this money struggle?”  Any life situation can be turned into a wonder question.  So, let go of entrenched positions and float free in wonder.  If it bothers you, wonder why.
One of our members attended an Abraham workshop and presented the following partial quote from the 2 CD set Think and Get Slim: Natural Weight Loss by Esther and Jerry Hicks Info on CD.
When you make peace with where you are you always turn downstream, go with the flow.  But we are afraid to make peace with where we are because we think we will be stuck right there!
You’ve got to understand that as you have been living your lives, you’ve put what you want, including the physical body you want, into your vibrational escrow.  It is there waiting for you.  And there is something you are doing on a consistent basis that is keeping you from moving toward it.  We think with most people, in most cases, it is that you are trying to make too big a jump because you don’t like where you are.  So when the universe shines its law of attraction on you, what it’s amplifying is how you feel, how you feel, how you feel.  And that’s why things don’t change very fast.  Did you know that what you are living is the indicator of your vibration?  You don’t go to the gas station with your gas gauge on empty and just lay your head on the steering wheel and sob “it’s over, look what I’ve come to.”  You do something about it.  You fill up your tank.  It and every other manifestation is an indicator of vibration.  In order to get a different indicator you must shift your vibration.  All manifestation is just an indicator of vibration.  The mistake we make is we take the reality that exists and make it so meaningful, we take too many pictures of it, we make it too real, and we hold ourselves to that reality.  The answer is it doesn’t mean anything.  It’s just the summation of your current vibration.  But it is so influx, so changing, amending, evolving, it doesn’t mean anything.  You’ve got to be all right now in the process of becoming.  And the thing that keeps you from moving in the direction of what you want is your distaste about where you are.  You’ve just got to make peace with your physical body, your relationships, and your money issues.  You just have to stop worrying!

Going Beyond Your Self-Imposed Limitations

Meeting of Monday, September 21, 2009

We know how to manifest. And, we know that manifesting what we want actually works. So……Why don’t we manifest what we want and get it? Here are some helpful tools from the experts.

Unconscious Manifestations: According to The Hendricks Institute (www.hendricks.com) before we consider manifesting what we consciously want, we must overcome the unconscious manifestations we developed over the years. These are self limiting beliefs we have ingrained into our lives that keep us from getting what we want. These unconscious beliefs become unconscious manifestations and we must identify them before we can correct them.

The best way to identify our unconscious manifestations is simply to observe the results we have created. The negative results we created are our unconscious manifestations. So, let’s figure out what they are.

Without realizing it, we draw experiences and people to us unconsciously and interact with them in programmed ways. Somehow we pick up limiting ideas like “I’m a loser” or “There’s never enough to go around.” Then we operate as if those beliefs were actually true. We speak the language of limitation. We say things like “Just my luck” or “People can’t be trusted.” Instead we should use the language of limitless possibility. “I’m going to make my own luck” or “I’m going to manifest only people I can trust into my life.”

So, we need to look at our negative results to determine our unconscious manifestations. Then we should ask ourselves “What unconscious patterns am I repeating in my life that created these results?” Then say to yourself “I commit to becoming aware of the unconscious patterns that limit me.” This is the first step towards eliminating our self-imposed limitations.

Accidental Self Sabotage: Eddie Conner (www.eddieconner.com) has a humorous way of explaining how we sabotage our desires with opposing beliefs. He calls it the ASS-Fault Factor where we Accidently Self Sabotage our desires with low-frequency thoughts.

Hi-Frequency thoughts feel fast, rich and prosperous. They flow fluidly from us out to the universe. The universe reflects hi-frequencies back to us 100% of the time. Low-Frequency thoughts feel negative and poverty ridden. Encumbered, they bang around with great difficulty inside of us before vibrating out to the universe. Because the universe is unconditional love, it also reflects our low-frequency beliefs back to us 100% of the time.

The purest form of accidentally self-sabotaging is through focusing on both the good (Hi-Frequency) and the bad (Low-Frequency) aspects of the same subject. When people talk about their rich desire for love they often follow it with a poor belief that they can’t have it. We accidentally self sabotage our rich desire for love with a default belief that we can’t have what we want. We’ve accidentally factored in both the desire and an opposing belief together. We don’t intentionally sabotage our desires; we sabotage by accident.

Humans think roughly 60,000 thoughts a day. How many of our thoughts do we Accidentally Self Sabotage with a belief that life is difficult?

Over time our self-sabotaging thoughts factor in great dis-ease in our minds and hearts. The universe will absolutely bring both frequencies to us every second of our lives. We will continue attracting the basis of the Hi-Frequency thoughts that feel pure and prosperous and the Low-Frequency thoughts that feel negative and tainted. If we continue to desire love in this manner we will surely attract difficulty and proof that we can’t have the love we desire. This same example holds true in every area of our lives and with all our desires.

Illusion: As humans we have a habit of focusing on the negative side of life. The longer we think and vibrate Illusions of lack the more these illusions become our physical reality.

Reality: The Universe is opulent and abundant and ready to fulfill our every desire. We must get past our accidental sabotage and step outside our habitual illusion of lack and limitation in order to experience expanded good, or Heaven on Earth.

It’s a rare human that creates illusions that are hi-frequency and beyond normal physicality. Without exception our inner realities will always catch up with us on the Earth Plane. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all loved ourselves enough inside and out to create a great reality for ourselves so that we could teach this methodology to the world?

The Complaint Fast: Unconscious manifestation thrives on complaining. We keep our childhood programming in place by complaining to willing listeners that we have been victimized. When people challenge us to take care of our lives, we often get defensive and argue that our limiting beliefs are valid and necessary.

If we want to stop our unconscious patterns, we must stop complaining. Let’s begin with a “complaint fast.” Let’s not let a single complaint out of our mouths for as long as we can…hopefully the whole day. Then let’s try to make it two days in a row, and then a third, and so on. When we stop complaining, our old patterns will dry up and blow away. Eventually we will notice that our circumstances will improve radically and there will be nothing to complain about.
Here are the steps to a complaint-free life:

Step 1: Discover what we complain about.

Step 2: Discover the people we complain to, the listeners of our complaining. These people are not our friends—they are our co-conspirators in the slow sabotage of our lives.

Step 3: Speak the following sentence out loud, from the heart, and often:

“I,_____(name)__________, commit to a complaint-free life.”

For those who like affirmations, here is one to help:

“Blessings flow in the areas of my life I used to complain about. Thank you for the gift of your participation in my life.”

Affirmations or Afformations: The point of afformations is to ask better questions, to change negative questions into positive questions.

Step 1: Ask yourself what you want. You can use existing goals or start from scratch.

Step 2: Form a question that assumes that what you want is already true. This will change how you communicate with yourself because you will begin to ask yourself better, empowering questions.

Step 3: Let your mind search for the answer. You will automatically focus on things from a new perspective, or on things you've never focused on before. You'll focus on what you have, not what you don't have.

Step 4: Take new actions based on your new assumptions about life. When we ask better questions and change our focus we cannot help but move in our new direction by being open to new possibilities, taking advantage of new opportunities, meeting people who will help us move toward our desires.

10 Top Afformations

1. Why am I so rich?
2. Why am I so happy?
3. Why am I enough?
4. Why am I good enough?
5. Why do I have what it takes to succeed?
6. Why do I have the courage to do what I love?
7. Why does opportunity come to me so easily now?
8. Why do I enjoy so much success?
9. Why do I have more than enough money in my business?
10. Why does having what I want help others to get what they want?

The Art of Manifesting and Allowing

Topic 1: How do we manifest and allow, and why does it take so long?

Manifesting what we want takes motivation, concentration and clarity of desire. Think of what you would really like to have right now and how motivated you are to get it. Compare that with the motivation we would feel if we were told there is $100 million in a Swiss bank account that we can have with no strings attached – all we have to do is get there and claim it. How motivated would we be then?
Concentration is difficult because Abraham tells us that every 17 seconds we get a new thought. In fact, sometimes it is difficult to keep the same thought the entire 17 seconds. Our thoughts change so rapidly that we are naturally sending mixed signals to the universe. And, whatever we are thinking, the universe is saying “yes” to.
When we are motivated and are able to concentrate, we need to develop clarity of what we do want, and avoid clouding the message with what we do not want. Appreciating what you like about someone else is a great way to clarify what you do want for yourself. Be careful not to wish that you were that person, however, since you do not know what challenges that person may be dealing with.
One of the tools available to help us develop these skills and manifest what we want is a Focus Wheel. This is a process to help change our vibrational alignment with any subject. For an excellent example and explanation, click here.

Topic 2: What is alignment with source and what does the law of attraction have to do with it?
Our goal is to connect with a higher form of life, ultimately connecting with source. It is easier to come into alignment with source when withdrawing from the things that take us out of alignment. Then, by attracting a little bit of good to our lives each day, we will come into alignment to the point that we naturally, and without thinking, set an example for others to see and hopefully emulate. If you are in alignment with source, it doesn’t matter if others are not because you will be manifesting the good in your life and allowing it to come to you.
There is a great Abraham You Tube video on the subject of alignment with source here.
Topic 3: The Vortex
The vortex is a state of mind and simply means we are in alignment with source and there is no more resistance to our manifestations. Our thoughts about a subject start to feel good even though nothing has really changed except for our state of mind. Simply stated – whatever keeps us out of the vortex isn’t worth it.
